Mediterranean garden

Following architectural trends, Mediterranean-style gardens are becoming ever more popular. We have to accept, however, that we do not share the climate of the Italian, Greek, Croatian or Spanish landscapes, so we can only create a garden that evokes them. Its typical ingredients are broadleaved evergreens, columnar evergreens and drought-tolerant flowering plants. The effect can be heightened by choosing the right paving, placing planters and stone pots, and using natural stone. Preparing the garden for winter is labour-intensive.
